Gabriel finds joy in creation and feels more naturally drawn to mankind than any of the other angels. Where Michael sees their fragility and the danger that comes with it, Gabriel is fascinated by what God may yet make of creatures formed from dust.

Adam and Eve give him a small lyre, which he carries with him through Eden. Its quiet music often drifts through the garden, reflecting Gabriel’s calm nature and his trust in God’s providence.

Once a warrior in Satan’s rebellion, Abdiel turned back and now serves under Michael in Heaven’s Vanguard. His repentance was genuine, but forgiveness has not restored the trust of everyone around him. Whispers still follow him among the loyal host.

Abdiel bears their suspicion quietly, already burdened by guilt and doubt he has not yet left behind.

Once the brightest of Heaven’s host, Satan stood near God as an anointed guardian and steward of creation. But when mankind was formed from dust in God’s image, and Heaven glimpsed a future in which God Himself would become man, Satan refused to bow. Rather than serve creatures he deemed beneath him, he rebelled and fell into Hell.

Cast down but unbroken, he turns toward Eden, determined to corrupt mankind before God’s purpose for them can be fulfilled.

Adam and Eve live in Eden without suffering or death, in communion with God, the angels and creation. Adam is curious and inventive, while Eve is more grounded and attentive to the life around them. Together, they are called to carry the life and order of Eden outward until the whole earth reflects the garden.

As the first humans they bear the image of their Creator, and Satan sees in that image a future he cannot accept.

Warm and compassionate, Raphael serves as both healer and teacher among the angels.

Patient with even the most troubled souls, his gentle nature can make it easy to forget that he, too, fought in Heaven’s war.

Bright, curious and endlessly fascinated by creation, Uriel serves among the Watchers, keeping vigil over the world of mankind.

His eagerness to understand all that God has made is matched by a steadfast devotion to the order he has been entrusted to guard.

Rarely seen apart, Ithuriel and Zephon patrol Eden together beneath Gabriel’s command.

Different in temperament but inseparable in duty, the pair are among the first to discover that something has invaded Paradise.

Once radiant powers entrusted with the ordering of creation, Moloch, Beelzebul and others followed Satan into rebellion. Their exile does not end their influence.

In ages to come, mankind will know some of them by another name: gods.
